When the old church located near La Caula waterfall was abandoned in the 18th century, the present church was built in the town and also dedicated to Sant Martí. The present church houses a single nave with a polygonal apse. Unconventionally, it faces north. On the façade, or northern façade, there is a large rectangular entrance. The lintel carries the date 1785. This is certainly when the church was finished. The belfry is to the southwest corner of the building and has a square base with an octagonal upper section; it houses Roman arches and there are also lunette vaults. The church is built from unworked stone.
