Palau Surroca Castle
Palau Surroca castle is presently a private property. It comprises a rectangular fortified country house documented in the 13th century as belonging to the Lords of Palau. It passed to the Surroca Palau in the 15th century from where its present name originates. It houses a building with Gothic windows and a large central courtyard surrounded by the fortified complex where loopholes and merlots can be seen. To the south of the complex is the Romanesque church of Sant Llorenç. The interior may not be visited at present.
